Steak Seasoning

This homemade steak seasoning is designed to enhance the natural richness of your steak, bringing out its flavor with a perfect balance of spices and herbs.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 2 tablespoons black pepper, freshly cracked
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a small bowl until evenly combined.
  2. If using immediately, rub the seasoning onto both sides of the steak. For storage, place in an airtight container for future use.
  3. Pat the steak dry with a paper towel before applying the seasoning.
  4. Apply the seasoning generously to both sides of the steak and let it sit for 30 minutes.
  5. Press the seasoning gently into the steak to help it adhere.
  6. Grill the steak to your desired level of doneness.
